i admire your philosophy and your garden. However, I was dismayed to see a butterfly bush in your landscape. These are non-native invasive plants in North America. They are a favorite of the Big Box store garden centers. Many temperate climate countries from New Zealand to great Britain to multiple States in the US list them as invasive plants.
Below is the address of a pdf published by the USDA describing this planter as invasive.

I agree with every word. That's the way I have gardened for years. Stick with your gardening style. It is great companion gardening.
Hi Siloe, you are such a deep thinker and eloquent speaker! This is on top of being a sensible gardener. I love all of your gardening videos. I was watching earlier tonight Kaye of Late Bloomer latest video where she had a clip of you talking about the living soil. You are simply an inspiration to an urban gardener like me.
Subscribed. really like your videos my friend. i love flowers in my garden! i do mainly marigolds for thier diversity of colors and because they dont take over a bed. on your suggestion im going to incorporate zinneas to get more hummingbirds! have a great 2017 season, and i hoping to see more of your garden this year. Cheers!

hi larious! I totally agree!!
So do you think direct sowing the flower seeds now would be worth it? or do you recommend starting them indoors?
thank you!
I love everything I've seen on your channel!!! Thank you~*~*~*~
wonderful job my friend love it very much keep up the good job.where can I get those beautiful plants?
Great video and well done! I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel so I can share my gardening obsession with someone else 🙂
will marigolds or rosemary get rid of slugs
Great video! If you don't mind, in future videos can you place the names of the flowers either as a subtitle or in the video description? I am not 100% sure how to spell the names of the different flowers. Thank you!
Hello, Siloé 🙂
You've just changed my mind about flowers. Up until now, I was frustrated with my mother's flower garden because I thought "She's wasting so much space for her veggies!" No more. I will be sure to have a wide variety of the flowers along with my veggie garden. I've learned so much with your series 🙂 Thank you so much!
I just had to watch this episode again as I love the artistry in which you add your flowers amid the vegetables. Artistry is not my strong suit (but I am trying) so I would like to request another episode at some point focusing on flowers and any design patterns you employ whether they be for crop protection or for beauty. Thanks again Siloe.
You made an excellent case, the flowers are beautiful and good to know the 3 to make sure that I have! Your videos are colorful, educational and very well done! Thank you so much for sharing your love for gardening and your artistry with us!
