This is a video showing the construction of a vertical garden at a private residence in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles. The wall has over 20,000 individual plants in it and took approx three weeks to install and build..The entire garden is watered by a recycled water system. This wall was created for the client to wrap the entire property around their house and create a lush vertical landscape. On the exterior, we used a variety of grasses and on the interior a collection of tropical plants and ferns, this allowed us to create two very different experiences and aesthetics for our clients home. all u need is a frame be it metal or red wood , 2 layers of 500 gsm non woven geotextile , soaker hose for irrigation , something for the roots to hold on to sandwiched between the geo.
a lot of people succeeded with different material combinations.
I used geo because of the length and width of the role , big wall, 3m x 4m
