I hear lots of people say Food Grade Plastic, but aren't painters buckets, most storage totes and milk jugs all HDPE? I always thought that any container with a number 2 in a triangle on the bottom was the same.?
Where do you buy those connectors??
How often do you have to change the water..?

Nice video! What do you use as a growth solution? Have you tried using compost tea as a growth solution? Basically do everything the same but hang a mesh/screen bag of compost and worm castings in the water!?
Can you germinate seeds with this method??
I am all about cheap, so I found this very interesting. Thanks…….. Ken……?
Thank you?
FYI, most of us are watching this so we can grow Marijuana. Don't worry, it's legal where I am, but soon you can grow you own pot as well. I mention this because pot heads care more about the final product than any gardener ever.
Thanks for the great video! I didn't hear how high the water was supposed to be, but I saw another poster commented that it should be up to .5" below the little baskets. Is that correct? If so, do you need to let the water level get lower as roots grow downward?
Thanks!?
Thank you for clearing the rock wool info for me, I was hoping that it was the same product but not to worry. Here in Bulgaria hydroponics is a pretty new concept so finding the materials like rock wool, and the chemical hydroponic feeds is near impossible unless you import the products. any way thanks again all the best JT?
Hi you mention rock wool, is this the same rock wool that the construction industry
Do you have to keep changing the water??
PICKLE FACTORY??? ????
what did you put in the water mix????

I'm using this for my class project, thank you !?
hi. i definitely want to try this. does the bubbler have to run continuously? Also, since the water is .5 inches shy of the cups, do you have to water the seedlings until the roots hit the water? Finally, do i need to use somekind of hydroponic growth medium in the cups or is the rockwool all I need??
HI Luke, thanks for the videos! I've been very excited to start a hydroponic system and use the Kratky method. I obviously am new to this. I came across some information that over time the hydroponic water becomes toxic and disposing it should be considered in a responsible way, especially if you are by water. I also read where people weren't concerned about putting it down a drain because they were saying it wasn't any worse than cleaning chemicals that we use. Is this an issue for a home gardener? Any thoughts would be appreciated.?
