Vertical Growing Systems SA (“VGS”) is a South African based entity, and joint venture between GreenFeed™ Growing Systems Proprietary Limited (“Greenfeed”) and CEA Mauritius Ltd (“CEA”).
VGS primarily focus on the design and manufacturing of Vertical Farming Systems.
VGS specializes in the design, manufacturing and installation of high-quality, modular, CEA (Controlled Environment Agriculture), aeroponic grow-room systems which includes the GreenFeed® Fodder System. This GreenFeed® semi-automated animal feed unit was developed and commissioned by Nick Kemp during 2005 in South Africa.
The VGS offices are situated in Paarl, Western Cape and the manufacturing plant is in Gauteng, South Africa. Since 2005 the company manufactured and installed 281 GreenFeed® Fodder Units on commercial farms in South Africa, Southern African Development Community (SADC) and Canada.
As a result of the collaboration between “GreenFeed®” and “CEA”, Vertical Growing Systems SA is proud to announce that a Research and Development Center is currently under construction in Wellington, Western Cape. Completion of the Center is scheduled for early in 2021. The Center will mainly be utilized to continue research of Industry trends, creating new products and enhancing current offerings for the benefits of the VGS customers. The Center will be a truly valuable asset in the Vertical Growing arena in South Africa.
