For my purse I used a 4mm crochet hook and Drops Muskat yarn.

As so many others have said, I really enjoy this and many of your other videos! Your voice is very soothing and instructions easy to follow. Truly a pleasure to learn from you. I started this just this morning and realized I want a bigger bag than your pattern creates so I am broadening the base by increasing the DC stitches by one per round and a SC round in between. After the round with 1 DC in the next 5 stitches then 2 DC in the next, then the all SC round, I did 1 DC in the next 6 stitches then 2 DC in the next. And so on, 7, 8, 9, etc, with SC round in between each increase round until my base is the size I want. Before I go any further please confirm that this makes sense. THANX
I really like this pattern
Cute thank you

Loved this video but am intrigued what weight/type of yarn did you use and how did you weave the tails in afterwards so they look nice and neat?

Hi, do you customize it to bigger bag. Thank you in advance 🙂
Used to fish this fly in Arkansas prior to moving to the Northwest. Very easy and productive fly. Thanks Jim I enjoyed your presentation
Hi Jim- Good stuff. Does the tail always have to be red? What's the best way to fish this fly? Similar to nymphing or swing it in the current? Thanks.
-Chris
A while ago we tried this fly in all kinds of color combinations. The only color that didn't catch fish was white! Great fly. Thanks.
thanks, Jim
First fly I ever learned how to tie and I landed my largest trout last summer on the Pine creek with one. Definitely a favorite.
I love the wooly worm. Always a top producer and a simple joy to tie. So many material variations and color possibilities with this one. Thanks Jim.
nice fly. but why do you use Hackel instead of more webbir fiber of a another feather?
take care Jim
Jack
Nice wooly worm. I am wondering why you didn't take a wooly bugger webbed hackle for that fly. Dry fly hackle is too expensive to be tying subsurface flies with, at least for me. The webbed hackle will move better in the water. Will the dry fly hackle vibrate and attract fish? I have wooly bugger and wooly worm hackle all pulled out of the capes and sized in an organizer. All the best to you and yours. Take care Jim, Sean
Another nice pattern. Thank You !
