Concrete pillars in Mexico City get covered in plants.
In a bold move to raise awareness about urban pollution in Mexico City, the Via Verde project was born. The team behind the project created it with the aims that it one day become the largest nature-urban project in the world. With a target of increasing air quality levels for 2,500, capture about 5,000 kg of dust, and process upwards of 10,000 kg of heavy metals, the towers are sure to have an impact and inspire similar projects throughout the world.
