I love the drone view. So helpful. I love watching all your progress. Great work! I just found your channel last week.
I definitely love this process of planning.
If you're redoing the drive (looks like brick has settled and ponds water) I'm voting for permeable pavers!
Awesome plans!
I really like your vision for your property! I’ve been with you since just before you moved, but I haven’t ever gone back on your new house playlist and I am about to do that, now. Although I enjoy following along as you go, it will be so interesting to truly see how far you’ve come! Thank you, Jim, for your knowledge and expertise! This is a great journey to accompany you on, however vicariously!
Love the drone shots! It’s going to be fun to watch your progress!
I like that you thought of the mailman. Love seeing this process.
Amazing job Jim!
Cant wait to see it done its going to look amazing, as I can semi envision the space though drone and camera. For the small turf area I'd suggest doing a more gentle sweeping curve starting lower down the path and making like a more half moon shape. Also maybe doing mondo grass turf instead of regular turf for something different and since your not a big fan of traditional turf
Really looking Great Mr.Jim.. Keep the updates coming. We enjoy them. Can't wait to see it all blooming..
Hi Jim. Did you basically just laid compost followed by mulch over the existing lawn to create your beds? I don't recall seeing you removing grass/weeds or lay down newspaper, etc.. How are you able to then immediately start planting into those beds? The existing lawn hasn't had time to decompose and the soil must be pretty tough to work with. Are you planting into just the compost?
Hi Jim, Did you know how you were going to plan your landscape before using the drone or was the drone needed for the planning?
Jim, I'm so glad that you are sharing your landscaping vision and creativity with us. Those drone shots are fantastic …hmm, maybe I need to get a drone. What a fun and useful tool to give a different perspective during the landscape planning stage! Thanks for letting us tag along! ~Margie
Centipede for the win!!
Kept thinking, this is perfect space for a rain garden, then you said it is part of the plan, so that was me shouting Yes! Also love that you incorporate the short cut for the mail route, very considerate planning.
Love the hardscape additions of the stone, steps, fence & arbor! Talk about curb appeal in a design – you've got it – WOW!
Looks amazing. And like that you monitored your mailman walking patter to make his life easier. Lol. Many would just have him exit where he enters. Also, since u mentioned u will do a paved driveway to fix the unlevel one you have now, it would be amazing if those bricks get reused on your property. Like the retaining wall. Plus, think that retaining wall is a great solution for the slowly decomposing tree stump. Will be interesting to see you create some salivation from an otherwise flat piece of land. You are doing so much work on your land and literally shaming many curing covid. Lol. "How productive were you?" Putnam's answer: look at my home. Lol.
So different than my area. We all have yards with grass, then flower or garden beds. I think this will be lovely. Love the drone shot!
So many great additions. You’ll certainly be upping the value of your house. I’m excited to see the fence and arbor.
wow have a great holiday wow
It already looks goo. Love how environmentally conscience you are, I do wish more people are thinking about future of our land and water resource's. Thank you!
Agree natural stone always.
Really enjoy these drone videos. Your front landscaping is going to look great. Look forward to watching it come together.
Great plans! Can’t wait to watch ❤️
It’s gonna look beautiful! I have some photos I want to submit for subscriber sunday, where do I send them?
Great video. I can envision what you're going to do. I love the way you showed the big picture and up close too. You've done so much thus far. It will be great. Thanks.
Wow Jim. That will be amazing when you're done. Thanks for sharing.
At 7:11 did you say you are making an informal path for the mailman to cut through your yard rather than walking back out the formal path that leads to the street?
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
I'm going through the exact same planning, here in Dallas. We moved into a home just under a year ago, and I've been planning and brainstorming. I like your video, and I'm glad I'm a subscriber!
Awesome video!
I love that you will be collecting rainwater and filtering it before it leaves your property. You know how to do so many things, you are a true renaissance man, lol
Thats a lot of spray paint! I like the rain garden idea. It will be interesting to see how that comes out.
It sounds like it will be really nice. I am looking forward to see you tackle it, especially the retaining walls and other hardscaping. It will be a lot of hard and hot work.
That’s a great visual. Can’t wait to see it come together. Hope this is your forever home as you’re doing a tremendous job!
This design is great. Like the way you have provided for all kind of foot-traffic flow, and the terracing of the strong slope. Can't wait to see it progress through the phases. Thanks for taking us along with these projects.
Oh yeah, I can smell that spray paint now – can he draw a straight line, or what -great photos – love seeing the aerial view – TFS
The picket fence and arbor will look so good when all your vision comes together. The new porch and siding will give your house such a new, clean look. It will be wonderful to see in the future. Stay safe.
