How to make a garden planter box with free wood material you get from disassembling a shipping pallet.
Wooden shipping pallet are free everywhere, because companies don’t want to spend money recycling them. So you can just pick them up for free. Once you take it apart, you’ll get a dozen wood planks, and 3 thicker wood beams.
You can use these wood planks to make the bottom and sides of a wooden planter box. The wood beams are great for the post/support of the box, so the box is extra strong.
All these can be done completely free. All you need is a hammer, a saw, and some nails. This video will show you a simplistic design that doesn’t require a lot of measuring or cutting, and can be done by just one person.

Thanks. Great recycling project! And easy enough for anyone to try as well as add other features (add a llid so it’s storage or just one board across the back so you can plant inside as well as put pots on the ‘shelf’ etc etc!)
Can't watch sniffing, yuck! and camera movement, sea sick…….!!!
Dismantle a pallet is easy no matter the type of pallet, people on YouTube likes to complicate

Get to the point and get an tripod!!!
You can pick up a reasonably priced hole-saw set at Walmart. Use the small one to saw around each nail. Assemble your project be it a garden planter, rustic cupboard or a wine rack, then fill the holes with some wood filler. Then have a cup of tea and relax on your newly built sun lounger and rejoice in the fact that you have not struggled for hours with a claw hammer and crowbar trying not to split each plank as you painstakingly try and fail more often than not. Just a thought so I hope you don't mind me saying. Oh yes one last thing, I won't be able to see any replies, as I didn't write this, ok.
This video was just what I needed. Thank you!
No WAY
