Since their founding in 1928, Tremco Roofing has “kept good roofs good,” growing into the premier provider of customized roofing and weatherproofing solutions, as well as programs for managing all of a facility’s assets. A core value of Tremco Roofing is product innovation with an emphasis on sustainability. They have proven this time and again, by removing asbestos from their roofing systems in the mid-80s, developing low VOC and solvent-free products, offering a wide range of ENERGY STAR and Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) certified roofing systems including the industry’s first all-white built up roof which is compliant with California’s stringent Title 24 requirements and much more. Their many systems help architects and building owners who are striving for LEED – certified facilities by contributing in such areas as stormwater management, reducing the heat island effect, recycled content and more. Their growing recognition as a leader in vegetative roofing systems can be seen in the dozens of projects they have underway, and in finished systems like the one crowning the Orlando Health MD Anderson Cancer Center Labyrinth Vegetated Roof Garden. In 2012 Tremco Roofing received an Award for Excellence in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security Performance from the Ohio Chemistry Technology Council for their LEED Gold certified headquarters renovation with four types of sustainable roofing systems including the ENERGY STAR qualified Rock-It™ roof surfacing system composed of white gravel set in white adhesive installed beneath a rooftop PV system, and their vegetated roof featuring 46 species with almost 16,000 plants. The roof has low impact lighting, a pathway of recycled slate, and Tremco Roofing’s BioTray Vegetated Roof Delivery System.
