Why not just blitz the food scraps in a blender into a slurry so they break down in the most efficient manner possible? I do this and mix the slurry in with a hydrated bucket of coconut coir. So there's a 50/50 mix of green and brown material. The volume of compost that reduces in a span of a week is staggering. Go bacteria, go worms!

So if I want to move it inside in the winter I would need to clean it out completely. Do I need worms to use the composting feature?
