This is a sturdy and strong tomato trellis that will be great for all vining vegetables like cucumbers and squash/gords.

where do you angle the trellis in relation to the sun? What cardinal direction should the long side be facing?
To Pete B or anyone else who can answer this question. If you till the garden and till under the compost are you still disturbing the soil micro-organism in the soil, and if you are is there a way to get back or balance out the micro-organisms that you disturbed before you plant? I ask because i have heard that when you till you kill the soil microscopic life that makes for healthy soil?
Love the trellis, I hate using tomato cages.
That’s a serious garden. Good job! I like it.
Sorry, WORMS , it should read and not works. I have a VERY sneaky keyboard.
I read somewhere about the effect of digging deep and how that negatively affects the microorganisms of the soil. When you test the soil, is that what you do, test for microorganisms? My personal belief is in the invaluable service that works do for the soil.
You’re so lucky in the US to be able to get all that equipment. I’ve not seen that here in the UK.
Good video Pete
Like the Tpost driver. Looks too heavy for me to use. Love cattle panels. I have some in my garden. Are you going to weave your tomatoes or tie them up?
Use mine for cucumber, I use heavy duty tie wraps cause I'm lazy loved video
Why not run a string line from front post to the rear post then drive the others…also a line level to make sure of getting a straight line!
Oh Pete, you build forever and you don't shy away from hard work!
Good job Pete…do you sell your produce
Looks really good. Do you inoculate your garden with fungus for the mycorrhizal benefit at all? We did for the first time this year (used king stropharia) and it’s probably the best yield we’ve ever had (tomatoes, corn, pumpkin & zucchini).
Nicely done, the cattle panels are just one more thing thats not available here in the UK.
best wishes
Pete.
Good woman to help u
Pete, cut a piece of pvc pipe to the length you want sticking out of the ground, slide it over the post, then drive till its right. No repeated measure. Same between post (distance between posts). Last forever. To hang the panels ( by yourself) slide the two pieces of pvc over the center posts. Put two screws at top of pipes at distance of ground height desired. Tie both ends first, remove pvc, tie centers. I've hung miles of fence. Not smarter than you, just more expierenced (in plain english, I've destroyed my body already in my youth).
