I love gardening with kids. They love exploring and learning new skills. Whether they help with gardening projects like building my greenhouse or raised beds, or I do specific garden projects for kids like writing plant labels or even simple things like weeding, watering and planting seeds, the benefits of gardening for children is deep. They learn about where their food comes from, and they eat veggies! In fact my kids eat veggies from the garden that I wouldn’t have ever tried to feed them, so I love that they are growing up and learning this skill young.

Ho! Braxtyn eats my parsley leaves, I won't have though she would like it lol.
I started my granddaughter with Zinnias when she was 3. She now helps with the other flowers, herbs, and vegetables. She kills bugs, weeds a little, picks veggies, plants most of our seeds, helps with watering, she can't seem to get enough. We are trying milk jug sowing…we have 30 jugs with a little of this and a little of that lol. Just her and I experimenting here in NNY zone 4a. She'll be 7 at the end of the summer. What a great time we are having!
