Building off the previous webinars in this series, this webinar will focus on the many therapeutic benefits of introducing gardens and nature to young children especially through sensory gardens and sensory-based learning activities. Gardens provide a safe space for all children to learn and grow physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally. When play and learning environments are extended to the outdoors, children all of abilities and skill sets have the opportunity to positively engage and interact with other individuals and with nature. This webinar will focus on the many therapeutic benefits of sensory gardens and sensory-based activities in early childhood settings and provide examples of programs who have successfully used them to promote social and emotional well being of all children.
