There are two squash  flowers,  male and female.  When the male flower has done it's job,  pick it,  batter and fry if.   Tastes like fried oysters.  Squash is a great substitute for pumpkin in pumpkin pie recipe. don't need to get ride of the seeds. Cut the sugar WAY back and it becomes a meal.(Fit for the Gods)

I always get  Hornworms! How can I stop them from destroying my plants without using chemicals? Every year I go out and pick them off and destroy them, but is there another way?
