Since early Spring, Farmers Weekly has been visiting Adam Henson’s Gloucestershire farm, exploring the theme of sustainability in modern farming. The first programme in the series asks “What does sustainable farming actually mean?”

In this series of articles we’re trying to explore just what that familiar buzzword means when it gets mud on its boots. So far, we’ve looked at what true environmental sustainability means, looked critically at many modern arable farming practices, and explored how diversification has made businesses more sustainable, too.
