Heard you say you had an apricot tree. I recently read about a bunch of people who live near Tibet, if you can believe it, who don't get cancer. A big staple of their natural diet are apricots, especially the ground up apricot pits, which they incorporate into their diet. It has laetrile, if I'm spelling
that right, which is a huge cancer preventative. Check it out. I can tell you want to feed your family from your garden and have invested in treated water to remove the fluoride and chlorine, so thought you'd want to research this! I was fascinated. No chemotherapy for me or mine ever!

Wow! Love your homestead. 🙂 I am just relocating here from Seattle but managed to have chickens, ducks, and rabbits on a small 9000 lot in the middle of a subdivision. Would love to have a place for chickens (and maybe sneak in a goat or three) but not sure if that'll work out. My biggest passion is trains so your home is in a perfect spot. 🙂
