This was my best year ever for tomato plants. I didn’t lose a single plant and even resurrected a few with hydrogen peroxide. It is time to start planning my cool weather garden and transition toward the fall, here in Maryland Zone 7. I hope you consider testing hydrogen peroxide for your garden. I’ll be using it from the begin next year on most of my garden.

Great answer to why you garden! "To connect with others. Connect to your past, what your parents/family grew." Very good answer.
Happy john
I hate those runt kids
Good tasting tomatoes are hard to find here in Central Florida we are always growing tomatoes
I planted some tomatoes and I live in Central Florida. I think they do better here in the Winter, too hot for them in the summer
I would love to buy some holy basil seeds!
I've had productive pepper plants last 3 years. Tomato plants flowering right now in Maryland. All volunteers who's ancestors I winterized in the mild FLA winter. Many annual plants can be turned perennial.
For goodness sake CALM DOWN, you're raising my blood pressure 😉
John, another great video. This is a great example of how unique everyone can get with their gardening style!
John kohler=half man half bee.
Brians garden looks good grwat video john. : )
Good stuff mang. Brian is cool. Thanks for sharing.
Love Brian's Channel. Thanks both of you.
I would love to see you visit Gary at Laguna Hills Nursery in Santa Ana. He has interesting thoughts on soil and compost.
I was a stay at home mom, and definitely gardened with my girls…now my oldest has her own first container garden, and she let me know that "she was turning into me" but enjoying the fresh herbs, lettuce and chard she is growing on her tiny porch.

Just subscribe to your podcast I’m excited
You don't have issues with deers or any other animals?
Usually I have a good number of ladybugs each season, this year I found 2.
Researching found I could purchase 1500 larve for 13.00 + shipping worth the cost, maybe I won't loose kale an such to white fly.
Maybe you can answer this question. I planted 1 pink Brandywine tomato, finally produce fruit, fruit has a rough shell like spot near bottom an all rotting from inside out?
Gary, are you going to be selling Roulette Habanero seeds or can you recommend a good place to purchase those?
I used 2 Tbs of h2o2 in a gallon of water on Summer Squah, in containers it is still dying.
excellent video. I have used this method and I am very pleased with it.Thanks.
Do you reuse all that container soil for tomatoes again? If so, how do you amend the soil, and do you get rid of all the roots or just let them decay? Thanks. I had great results this year with the grape tomatoes but the beefsteak got away from me a split with all the heavy rain we had.
Hi I need your help with my cherry tomatoe garden. Is there a way I can send you pictures of my problem
OMG your hops are awesome!
How often can give it to the plants?
I planted summer squash seeds an transplanted them bigger pots, tried h202 1 Tbsp hope fully ut works.
You've got a fabulous garden, I wish I could say that about mine.
Lost the cucus, potatoes, summer squash, peppers, tomatoes to blight.
May loose the acorn squash.
I have used neem oil, fish fertilizer, the slug an snail killer, but some1 walked away with that.
Thinking about a winter cold frame; found cold weather lettuce to – 10 ^. We shall see.
Next year with try container gardening hope its better than this year.
Great info.
love your work with h2o2 , my wife uses it for everything
Your tomatoes definitely did better then mine did. Had to take out two more today. Thankfully I have two more producing. I’m also in MD not sure if I’m 7a or not. So glad you shared about the hydrogen peroxide just wish I had seen the video before purchasing a $5 bottle of organic mildew for squash spray. Now I know. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Once you garden is done for the summer can you talk about your supports for your plants?
Everything looks good, Gary. The hydrogen peroxide worked great for me, too. After 18 straight rain days from mid-July to early August, my plants were covered in leaf spot. A few H2O2 treatments and some pruning, plus we have had 22 straight days of sunshine since, has resurrected the plants. All new green growth and new flowers everywhere. Pretty amazing.
Today used 4tbs H2O2 in 2liters of water(a little less than 1/2 gallon) on a new outbreak on cucumber. Everything else seems to be doing well…tomatoes have new flowers. I live in France, zone 8a…lots of tomatoes this year. Zucchini doing well. Tried wrinkled crookneck for the first time. Absolutely delicious. Again THANKS Gary for all your tips.
I am interested in your video on winterizing your fig tree. This is my first year on growing a fig tree. When can I expect to get fruit?
