Wow he has a good set up,,, with lots and lots of lettuce to sell…
interesting lettuce grows so well in that heat, most varieties bolt
Lots of lettuce, sure looks good but you are right, no bug bites. Ha. Mine have lots of bites but I don't use chemicals or commercial fertilizers. Organic only. Good video though
Your farming videos are very interesting. If I was younger I would try this. I would like to see a video of the workers tending the rows to see how they get to all the plants and also what are they doing for insects.
Very well done !
I guess they take all that lettuce to market? Do you need to add stuff like minerals into the water for things to grow properly?
The red one looks like lola rosa. Thats a proper set up. It make the land farmable for sure.
thanks for sharing this very cool farm of lattuce
Hello Paul. That guy really has a great set-up. Making the best of his slope. Best wishes Bob.
Thanks for sharing! The "spiny" salad is named Crisp Salad here where I live. Together with the "red/purple" salad they are my favorite salad. And the red one often are much bigger than other kind of salad. That set up looks very professional with all the good looking vegetables. Wonder if it's ecologic?
That's a sizeable capital expenditure and maintenance .
Hard working farmer
There's techniques for farming in anywhere. On the roof, you can put aquaponics. In the mountains, you have hard time due to lack of soils or its to cold. In Tibet, they grow only season plants that's grow fast for harvest. Documentary show they grow crops that for goats or yak. The milk are hardy and sustain them through the harsh winter. It is truly amazing where plants can be grown. Plants in general are just like people. Once they put the roots down, just impossible to removed them.
I wonder how they control the pests problem. Whenever I tried to grow lettuce, I always ended up having aphids eating the leaves…. Thanks for sharing.
Great video !
This is so cool!
