Our DIY Chick is back this week planting up a shady wall planter. Check out all the fun colors and the different textures she used to make our garden center front wall stand out and look inviting.
Rule of thumb when arranging:
*Thrillers – These are your star plants. At planting time, the thriller goes in the center of a pot that will be viewed from all sides or at the back of a pot that will be displayed in a corner or against a wall.
*Fillers- These add mass to your pot. When planting a pot, position your fillers around the thriller. Use a mix of plants, some with foliage interest, others with flowers.
*Spillers- The main role of a spiller is to sprawl over the side of the container, softening its edges and tumbling toward the ground. When parts of a container planting touch the earth, the pot looks rooted to its place.

Great job on your video, gardening is such a nice and peaceful hobby. It's not for everyone, but once it has you hooked it becomes a lifetime passion. I really wished more schools educated kids on gardening.
