School Gardens Grow Healthy Minds, Bodies, and Little Green Thumbs

Explore Ecology’s 38 School Gardens are outdoor classrooms for over 14,000 children a year. Our Garden Educators teach students how to grow food, transform food scraps into compost, and how to maintain biodiverse organic gardens. When cafeterias use school-grown produce, students gain a sense of pride and eat more fruits and vegetables in school and at home.
