
School gardens seem to have sprouted up everywhere as teachers search for engaging ways to educate their students about where their food comes from. But they’re a lot of work and require support from more than just the teachers. The Monitor’s John Holcomb visited one such garden and reports on how it would not be possible without all hands on dirt.
