Hardeep Desai, Head of Farm Operations, CottonConnect talks about what he would like to #RebuildBetter for building the resilience of cotton farmers. He shares “if there was one thing I would like to ReBuild better, it would be collaboration of multiple stakeholders who have shared vision to rebuild the farming community in a better way. We need systemic, collaborative approach involving actors across the supply chain to build more resilient farming communities at grass root level. Those who want to support can support any of the interventions related to water stewardship, sustainable agriculture practices, biodiversity, livelihood, decent work or supply chain.”
In order to rebuild the farming community, CottonConnect is focusing on two-fold approach: 1) Implement long term holistic farmers livelihoods programs, and 2) Provide optimum benefits of various ongoing development programs through convergence.
