Prof. Dickson D. Despommier held a passionate talk about his idea of „Vertical Farming. Cities as agricultural centers“ at the Austrian Innovation Forum. This project could help to feed the world in the future. He is an emeritus professor of Microbiology and Public Health at Columbia University. Together with his graduate students in a medical ecology class, he developed the innovative concept of Vertical Farming. He has received considerable media coverage for his ideas.
