Saving seeds is another very important skill. Knowing what to save is also important. Hybrid is okay if you don't mind getting one of the parent plants from the seeds. Store tomatoes are not the best way to get seeds. Those are grown more for looks and ability to ship across the country or to other countries. Not the best for a backyard gardens. CollardKraut? I need to try that!

Again enjoying all your videos. I am treasuring the heirloom sources more as I mature in homesteading. Blessings from the Mann Ranch Homestead ~LeX

heirloom seeds! and I learned by trying to save seeds from a store bought tomato. all vines NO tomatoes. I think I went OCD on seed saving last year….but I was able to share a TON of seeds to many many people!!

The first thing I do when I turn on my computer, is see what Ann Crum is doing that day. Your garden is coming up nicely and the birds are singing, what a glorious day. Have a good one!

No kidding, I have enough seeds to feed an Army! Let me know what you need, and I can send you some. Honestly, I don't want them to sit around here like my others have, and you would be doing me a favor if you took some of them. I buy from rareseeds, also called Baker Creek, and they are all heirloom. I'm still organizing the house, and everywhere I turn, I find more seeds. I have got to start printing out my orders, so I don't end up buying more of what I already have!!! Everything in the garden looks like they are doing pretty darn good so far, and that's great when you consider the crazy weather we have had. Oh! and our temp. is finally up today, and for the next few days too!! Woo Hoo! I sure hope it stays that way for a while. It's been so cold and rainy it was making me crazy. I hope to finally get that raised bed up this week if the weather holds. I can't wait to start digging and sowing some seeds. Boy, doing direct sowing sure is different than starting seeds inside. I usually would have lots of plants started by now. This time I finally waited for the later spring weather we have had for several years, and no more leggy half yellow plants to toss out this year. Yay!! Let me know about the seeds, I have almost everything you could want, so just let me know. Bless, Sheila
