How do you keep mold out of your soil? How do you store your soil?

Looks like a Golden Rat tail cactus, to me. Cleistocactus Winteri, I believe. My grail plant, at the moment. 😛

    Love succulents, btw. 🙂

When you bring your succulents inside for the winter, stop watering them and put them in a cool room. They need to be dormant in winter.

They look great. I'm having the same problem with a cactus inside but I don't have an outside so we'll see. I'm pretty sure the cactus you have is a Monkey's Tail, slight difference to Rat's tail… longer whitish hairs that sometimes don't appear until mature. I have a feeling if that's the case they'll come out more after being outside, my guess 🙂 I'm sure these will be transformed after being put outside, I found succulents and cactus really love it, need it, if possible.

Very informative video. Thanks. I recently lost a bunch of succulents when we had unusual heavy rains. I didn't realize that too much water would be so harmful, so I think I will try planting them in a basket like this next time.
