Its great to learn from your video that u can make every space count by planting your new seedling in that bed. Also that SoCal can start cool vegies as we are still very warm here.

Hey Kim!! Thank you so much for the wonderful videos! I didn't realize that lettuce seeds need light in order to germinate. Perhaps, that is reason why I have trouble getting them to come up. I have always lightly covered them with soil. I can't wait to try your method! Thank you!!!

Lots of great information! I will be growing my first fall garden this year. I will be growing radishes, beans, and lettuces in addition to a few other things. Watching this video I learned not to cover my lettuce seeds, which I would not have known. Thank you for all of the great info that you share!

I learned about how beneficial worm castings are to the garden! I’m going to have to try using some to boost the growth of my vegetables! Great information!

I learned I am awful at seed starting. My fall garden seedlings don't look anywhere near as healthy as yours. I need to figure out what I am missing and keep improving!

Yea for being able to directly plant some of those seeds straight into the garden bed. Not having space to plant seedlings, this is a win for a newbie to urban gardening.

I love that you picked option #3!!! And I learned you can place stepping stones along the sides of your rows so as not to disturb the beds. I also learned how to plant red cabbage, which is a veggie I love! I always love learning how you plant in smart pots including your drip irrigation which is brilliant! I love that they are easy to move. One question I have is how to keep squirrels/rodents from digging in that gorgeous soil?!

I've been covering up my lettuce seeds – didn't realize they need sunlight to germinate. Purple is my FAVORITE color! Thanks for all you do for the gardening community, Cali Kim – I've learned a great deal from your videos!
