U do nice work! I was watching ur oak garden wall and just wanted to ask you what kind of oak wood did u use for your wall ? And also how did u cut all your pieces to length ?
Tim, when you do a job, you really do it properly. great little tips there with that long piece of metal and with the little piece of scrap wood as a spacer. great result as always
Great vid! could you tell me what size sleepers you've used?
Thanks so much. Your video has been such an inspiration… seeing you do this all alone has pushed me to achieve further. A great help, cheersNice 1
Are the oak sleepers treated? How many years can this kind of edging last? Thanks
I used to carry heavy things without a back support , now my back is damage and pain is horrible, please protect your back. Now you are young and dont feel anything , but in future you can damage your back.
Back pain is horrible.
Thank you for your videos.
Helped me hugely. About to attempt this job and had little idea where to start!
Hi Tim, firstly, I am a MASSIVE fan! Love getting the alerts you have posted a new video! I am currently building a sleeper wall too and was wondering if you were going to show how the membrane will be finished? Are you going to be stapling it or something to the sleepers to stop the soil contacting them? I am just about to install gravel and drainage pipe to keep all water away but was thinking of maybe using a non woven fabric too on the back of the sleepers.
Stop lifting with your back bro. @17:50
Another great video Tim…. you give me too many ideas for my own garden. I like you just don't stop! Will look great all planted out
so I've always believed wood should not be in direct contact with concrete as the concrete stops the wood drying out and as a result it will rot…
This will gain you at least one possibly two get out of jail cards with your Missus. Remember to use them asap as they
have a short shelve life.
I've seen this walls popping up quite frequently in the gardens near where I live. Great vid, glad it all came together for you.
DODGY BALLCOCK!
Looking great! =)
I think those bricks in front of the oak sleepers were a stroke of genius. They set it all off really nicely.
Looking forward to the completion!
Looks great, give the concrete as much time as possible to go off! I did something similar and filled it after 2 wks and the sleepers got pushed out a few mm's.
Really looking great … keep them coming do love your videos..
How do you have a B & Q trade card? I thought you were a photographer by trade??
