Quick question on the net cups: Why 4"? Everything I've been reading has recommended 5" or 6" for tomatoes.

I think you'd have better support with that strap if you brought it around underneath the pipe and back up to meet the other end so the pipe is hanging in more of a sling configuration. It will carry the weight better and won't be able to slip.

Mr Spirko, can i use plants from the store and just wash the dirt off before putting them in the bucket?

If you wanted a cheap solution to pipe hanging/bracket just use 2×4 and attach it to the framing of the greenhouse perpendicular to the 3.5" side of the studs with the front end pitched up slightly to create a shallow "V" that the pipes would just sit in.

Nice system and good luck with the rest of the build.

What are you going to fill the net cups with? Or will it just be the rapid rooter plug?

In the summer time, would a swamp cooler help with the heat in the greenhouse? If not, why not?

Are you going to make the holes in these net cups bigger?
