So I’ve really been wanting to experiment with aquaponic systems and start growing my own fresh vegetables and herbs along with fish. I plan to expand into more involved and larger systems in the future, but I thought it best to start small. I’m a novice at this, so I’m sure I’ll make plenty of mistakes along the way, but I want to learn and figure this out.

Dont chase your ph
neat pyroponics
"baysil"
Idea is good. But some improvement may be needed. Plants can only take the inorganic material through the roots. The aquarium tank will need microorganism to decompose the fish waste before the plants to take up. The fish need the gentle flow current rather than in the constant bubbling condition.
wow, so many goldfish huggers here. use tilapia, nobody cares about them.
Wow your neighbors must love you and your wind chimes
There's a lot wrong with this setup but the biggest flaw is no biological filter to convert ammonia into nitrates.
omg poor fishes
Dont you need a Biofilter to convert the ammonia to nitrate?
Please don't use goldfish for this. Especially since you didnt cycle the tank, there is no filteration, and the tank is way too small.
Fish still deserve to be treated just as humanley as dogs and cats.
فكرة ممتازة و سوف أقوم بتنفيذها قريباً
لكن أﻻ يحتاج حوض السمك إلى التنظيف و الماء إلى تغيير؟؟
Melting plastic and styrofoam like that is really bad for both the air and your lungs
I am just wondering how air will go into the tank ?
Your torture that fish until it will be dead ?
So not all roots have to be under dark? Isn't the fish going to eat to roots? great video about hydroponics!
No filtration,no cycle tank .wtf
I got an African claw frog she lives under water all the time they would be perfect for this & they're cute;-)
clicks tongue noice
This is good first try for experimenting and if you planned to do this seriously I would suggest some research on the whole subject as is this is unsustainable. Fish and plants are a bit more complicated than this system can support. Learn how the plants and fish transfer and cycle. This is close but not complete. Good luck on your journey!
Question. For the seeds, do you plant them in the clay, and let them grow, or do you plant the seeds in soil, and pull it out and put it deep in the clay, in order for it to grow?
