Michael Fernandez (AeroFarms)
Michael Fernandez leads AeroFarms’ systems engineering team, which develops and integrates the software and hardware tools that enable the company to optimise growing and operate efficiently at scale. Michael earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University in New York where he studied robotics and soft tissue bio-mechanics. He is interested in data science, user-centered design, machine learning, and using technology to advance sustainability and food security.
