Over the past 20 years, Ive spent over a year and a half living in wall tents. When it comes to a temporary living arrangement when you are building a homestead I dont think you can do better than a wall tent. They are spacious. They can be arranged 100 different ways. They are bright. They can be heated with wood.
In this video we’ll be taking a look at our current wall tent made by WallTentShop.com and running down the list of things to look for and what to avoid when buying a tent

THANK U LOOKING 4 A WALL TENT ,,,,,,,,,,
Although I am way past the age of being able to build a property again…….. wow I found this interesting. Sooo many things we automatically did but sooo many ideas for future grandies maybe doing this! THANK YOU!!
Thanks for this video. My husband and I are ordering ours this week. We are beyond excited. This video just reinforced our decision.
Honestly, I’d live there until I die
Almost forgot the “see ya soon” lol
Gives me a lot of comfort to watch these videos for some reason.
Thanks!
What about a circular yurt?
Hey Dave, went to the tent site. Which one of these tents is the one that you have? Thanks, have a great day.
Reflectix over the platform works better than a tarp liner especially in damp or cooler weather.
PS I live in Michigan and did Michigan winters in the tent and campers again the bell tent I have is definitely the best plenty of room to put a wood stove for heat
Mr.get out and get happy!! Lol
Love you crazy cats!!!
Good information Dave, we own the exact tent you have, missus the bug screen, ours is used for spring and fall and bugs not a problem. The information you have given in your video is right on, we are in Canada, we got ours from a supplier in Castlegar BC, this allows the Walltent company to sell at the best price with no import fees when we bought it. Our last tent lastest us 25 years but it was time to upgrade, not cheep, but it is a great investment for a lifetime of enjoyment , I also love living in the tent. Having a stove has been a life saver in the past when the weather has been wet and cold, made our trips enjoyable.
Another good video my fellow Dave!
Blessings!!!
Excellent piece. Thank You.
Really nice video!
You had me at American made, owned by veterans and you can actually call and talk to them. Sold
I wish I could show you my framed wall tent. It is only 12 x 20 but can be added on indefinitely. I used vinyl truck tarp material to cover the frame. I added rigid foam board insulation. Yes, it's dark in here… Almost. I have a sky light port in the middle. The total cost was around $5000.00 for the 12×20 with the insulation. Most of the cost is the insulation. The frame sits on an engineered floor deck with space for 14 inches of insulation. Which is about R40. That's nice in winter. My stove burns me out of the cabin if I forget to shut it down at a surface temp of 170°F.
My framed wall tent can evolve into a solid rock cabin just by using a designed roof with overhanging eves and some type of wood panel siding. I'm going to build a garden house with cedar fence siding.
Wall tents are great for camping long term. As well as a camp setup to rent out to pay bills.
