Karen McClure-How I started my garden design business

Read the full story of Key Women’s Business here: “I went to school, but I didn’t like it. I was not very good at school because I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I continued to study and studied. My husband feels very good now. Interesting travel and tourism, because my relationship with my satellite navigation system is not very good! I watched various jobs and drifted to the city because it was something to pay the bill. From there, I realized what mine was What I am passionate about and what I want to do. Since then, my continuous professional development has become very important to me. I now like to take courses or learn new things, and I continue to absorb myself in this industry. So, now, I actually spend a lot of time educating in my industry, whether it is in the planting workshop or the design/construction aspects of the specification and business. There are a lot of things to learn, and sometimes it can be overwhelming. Because every project you work on has so many h learnings. I really like it now, and when I was in school, I was not interested or particularly successful.”.

You say it’s a shame your dads not around, but he is with you every step you take.
Great story, glad you stuck to your guns.
    Well done.

By the way you should join The Professional Gardeners Guild , they have different membership categories, it’s inexpensive, puts you in touch with top gardeners from the great estates and you get to go on special tours, it will provide loads of great ideas that most designers will not necessarily have.

Kudos for the Video clip! Sorry for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you heard the talk about – Saankramer Breathtaking Design System (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a good one off product for learning how to make money with landscaping minus the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my friend Sam finally got cool success with it.

Studying garden design at the moment around a full time job. How do you know what to charge for a design and planting plan? Hourly rate or a standard rate? Thanks.
