I’ve updated and improved my Sims 4 Gardening Guide for 2020. This guide features everything a new player needs to know about one of the Sims 4’s deepest skills. It should be useful in some way to both beginners and veterans to the Sims.

Gardening has an extensive plant list, fertilizing, and evolution that may be difficult for new players to understand. This guide explains how everything works and provides helpful tips to making the most of all these features.

We go over how to finish the plant collection, make a greenhouse, and make a massive garden that flourishes whether the player owns The Sims 4 Seasons or not.

This is to replace my original gardening skill video, which was a bit out of date due to recent changes and was not up to the standard of quality I’m attempting to set for my guide videos. Let me know how it turned out, and if you see improvement in my work. It definitely helps me get better. I hope it was helpful to any newbies out there.

I have a large garden with mostly fruits, veggies and herbs. I have the seasons pack and the outdoor retreat. I have tree's that refuse to move past the first evolve. It is still stuck on the normal, with the meter showing they are ready to evolve. I have put them outside in the weather. I have put them inside a green house. Nothing works to evolve them. I used fertilizer on them and then I used the Fungal infusions from the outdoor retreat trying to evolve them. Is there anything I can do or do I need to get rid of them and try again?

Why dont you explain in english, what to do with the seed packets? take out of inventory or you can find them in the build mode in the garden section.. what happens when you open the packet? it disappears? the next thing your gabling on about spacing out the plants? wtf come on explain will you.

No Maxis didn't forget that plants don't grow without Seasons hehe and praise the lord they stepped up again otherwise TS4 would have absolutely nothing in the Base Game again like previous games and we'd be forced to buy the Expansions that have hardly anything in them but even with more focus on the Base Game now i still have no incentive to buy them i feel they're back to more Sandbox Packs like how they were in TS1 and there was less stuff in TS1 too.

TS4 is definitely inspired by TS1 and TS2 again but the Packs are for the kiddies again LOL they can enjoy the little packs if they want to but they DO need to step up on the rest of them (if there's anything else they can do with it) but they need to make money too to keep the game going and i have a feeling this is going to be the last game and they'll stay on it for a lot longer, the Eco Lifestyle isn't bad i admit but… it's just not for us older players now. I'm just starting to feel the spirit of TS1 again with them reminding EA what matters and they can't keep going more and more realistic it's impossible, what matters is using your imagination by pretending and getting Creative with it and the Gardening in the TS4 Base Game along with being able to Fish, create Off-Grid and Vacation Homes i'm just crying on the inside… :'( Thank You Maxis i love you… LOL.

One of the things i love the most in TS2 is Gardening and Fishing it's one of the things i sat down to do the longest there's too many Crafting Benches that makes Money Making too easy but a lot of us want Challenge and i think Gardening in TS4 gives us a bit of a challenge Maxis chose well to put the challenge there.

    Great video!
I would just like to add that you don't need planters to grow plants inside a Greenhouse. You can create a room, remove the floor and plant directly on the ground. If you create a building with two levels and remove the floor from the second level, you can even grow trees inside (I haven't tested with max height walls instead of a floorless second floor, but maybe that works too).

So now I have to apologize. In another video you mentioned gardening and I commented you missed mentioning selling dragonfruit. Then I saw you had this lovely video on gardening and I feel like a fool. Sorry.

Can I build a green house without seasons? Will my plant still live if it covered with a roof but it's glass without seasons? Sorry if this is a dumb question

I found out the reason why they use all the splice shoots, it's because the more splice shoots you have, the higher quality the graft is, because when you graft a plant it starts back at the base quality if you just use one.
