The addition to this video including the fruiting phase, taste testing and further discussion will be linked above when its posted. The nutrients I used were the Flora series from General Hydroponics and also Armor Si. I decided to split up this video for the final phase because I will be including another time lapse and also have some talking points. Also because the answer was already very clear and no further testing is needed, at least for the vegetative stage. And fruit production in the aerated method is obviously going to be the winner.
Video Rating: / 5
Why didn't you notice all the fungus growing in the kratky one?
How far were the roots in water? Completely submerged or 5050.
great video "Aeration vs No Aeration" . of course more oxgen is better. have you ever compare chiller VS no chiller?
Basil and peppers are so easy they can be grown by accident
wanna ask question, if we put a bigger air pump in a small bucket with single plant what would be the negative impact? If any?
The pump which is designed for 5 gallons bucket to provide air thru air stone and we are feeding that much air to a single one litre jar. Will it create problems??
What kind of light did you use? And how many hour a day the light on?
I learned something. Thanks.
Lindo. Beautiful vídeo é apresentador
It looks like the kratky plant is drowning. I think you refilled the nutrient solution too high which drowned the air roots. Kratky is easier to do but harder to master than DWC. There's a scientific method behind it whereas with DWC, you just stick the airstone in there and fill the nutrients. I believe this kratky was not done properly judging by the way the plant looks.
what you mean no water aeration ?
Nice video. I just got curious about the actual effect of water being aeration while the pumps was actually making the water to move as well. What if you add a water pump or a vibrator on the kratky? Wouldn't it produce a similar effect?
Just excellent video
So well done, thank you!!!!!
this is really well-made content. direct and to-the-point, but also very clearly demonstrates and explains the important points.
Would you feed nutrients to chilli (top feed) Every time they get dry or would you rotate water then nutrients then water ect. And do chilli need to be upped slowly to last container size ? Also when would you switch from MH to HPS? When flowering or before? And keep lights between 16 to 18 hours through out?
Great video! I appreciate people like you who go through the time and trouble to do these experiments and then publish them. Thanks.
FEED ME, FEED ME NOW, SEMORE!!!!!
So if you were to install a kind of mist blower directly on the roots they'd be even bigger
Awesome video!! That time lapse was amazing- very nicely done! – BTW, My SWAG is that the "movement" at night is the plants growing…
And REALLY nice to see some solid methodology employed in the testing.
Also you have really nice production values and the explanation was thorough, well thought out and well presented.
A+!
Night cycle is a terrible name….unless it's a movie about a motorcycle that comes to life at night.
…and solves crimes.
