It has nothing to do with the landscape (TED): Mary Scipioni of TEDxRochester
Mary Adelaide Scipioni is a registered landscape architect in New York State and an associate adjunct professor at RIT’s Golisano Institute for Sustainable Development, where she teaches site design to the Graduate Architecture Department. She is originally from Rochester NY, New York, and is currently in orbit. She has worked in New York, New England and Italy for eighteen years. Mary likes designing landscapes, teaching and writing. Fortunately, she met another former patrol officer who was happy to herd their children in the school before moving on to the next adventure. Mary’s design consulting company is called Pebble Flow. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a local, self-organized event program that brings people together to share TED-like experiences. In the TEDx event, the combination of TEDTalks video and live speakers triggered a group of in-depth discussions and contacts. These local, self-organized events are labeled TEDx, where x = independently organized TED events. TED conferences provide general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. * (* Certain rules and regulations are subject to compliance).
