    Regarding the chrysalis on the bottom of the habitat; when I raised them once, one chrysalis was like that. Then the butterfly hatched without much hassle (and I got to see it in action too), then it just crawled around the habitat for a while with its' limp wet wings and plump body, and at one point wound up on its' back before righting itself again, and then finally crawled up onto the wall in the habitat, and sat there and expanded and dried its wings. In no time, it was a healthy and active butterfly!

    I remember in grade 1 we did this, it was so beautiful we also did the ladybug one too! I think I'm gonna honestly get this though, because it was such an amazing thing to watch!
