Really enjoy your videos, I'm a fellow 'experimenter' but in a tiny city flat. I use metal racking to pack in as many plants as possible, though now it's more like a science lab than an indoor garden which is what I was originally aiming for….

Like you, have been tempted for years to try hydroponics…but always thought it might be a bit too much effort. You make it look easy and I'll probably give your method a try. Regarding the algae build up, have you considered trying aquaponics – perhaps that can be your next experiment ๐Ÿ™‚

I got a small hydroponic set for Christmas and I am already hooked. I am going to try the Kratky method as it doesnยดt need an air pump and looks promising. I really want to grow cherry tomatoes indoors!

Hi Ray! First I wanted to say that I've been watching your videos since early 2010 when I was 10 years old, and am in college now. My interest in gardening has gone through ups and downs through my teenage years, but it's made a solid comeback over the past year or so. I'm so happy you're making an honest effort to entertain and inform us nearly a decade later!

Second, I have a question. I've had a fluorescent tube light fixture for indoor growing for the past several years, and the bulbs have started to go bad. Additionally, they didn't seem to be the best bulbs for growing although they did work. My question is: what type of bulbs would you recommend? I plan on mainly using it for seed starting, but also an occasional tropical potted plant or two (citrus, coffee, banana, etc). I know you've had to have answered this question a gazillion times over the years, so I thank you for your patience. Thank you!

I have been watching your videos for a while now and now I just had to make my first comment, to say. That I appreciate your spirit so much it brings tears to my heart and joy to my eyes. I can tell you are one with nature in the way we all were intended to be, as children, believing in the magic that one can be a part. Thank you so much for making the choice to film what you do so that others may experience it.
All my love and the living light! /YAIYA

Hey Ray! Hi! Could you make a video further explaining how compost/compost tea works in an indoor garden? If compost feeds the soil, which releases nutrients for plants, then how does compost work indoors with a sterile potting mix? Is it because there's still low levels of NPK in compost? Also, how come dehydrating compost doesn't kill the active nutrients, when it needs oxygen to survive? Also, how come donuts and frozen pizzas don't grow on plants? Any input is appreciated…thanks homie!
