I’ve received many requests, from long-time soil gardeners, to provide a definition of Hydroponics. So, although very basic to most viewers using the method now, here’s a description that would have made the process clearer to me when I first became interested in the amazing field of Hydroponic Gardening.

Yes, I will. I know there are already a lot of video's about it but I just have to have this on video.(with mistakes and so). I think it'll be lots of fun

Thanks for the nice comment! Good luck with the Kratky method, I hear it works great, especially for greens. I think I'll do a comparison video with lettuce using the Kratky method and DWC – I haven't tried it but should be interesting. Are you going to do a video of your project?

Most local hydroponic supply stores carry hydro-organic fertilizers now. Some of the brands that feature some organic fertilizers are: Earth Juice, Fox Farm, General Organics, Pura Vida Organic from Technaflora, Ancient Earth Organic from Advanced Nutrients, Problend pro series from Botanicare and several others. Good luck and thanks for watching!

Spot on! You can definitely kill a plant with "kindness" – the biggest cause of crop failure is too much fertilizer.
I was asked to do a short nutrient management video so I'll do that next. Sad to say I've killed many plants learning this stuff but it has been worth it. I'm getting into Aquaponics soon so, hopefully, I won't kill too many fish before they are big enough to eat! Thanks for watching and for the comment!

DWC for the win. The only bad thing about hydro is if you don't know what to add.. if you add too much the nutrients can kill your stuff a lot faster than in dirt. But, at the other hand, this means your stuff grows a lot bigger in a lot faster time than in dirt. And I know you are trying to show roots, but new people should know that light kills roots, always blackout or paint your clear containers so your roots stay alive.Cheers, this stuff is great.. PureBlend Pro is pretty good. ORGANICS FTW
