It’s time to plant some more stuff so I did. Love the diversity the heated portion of the greenhouse is affording me. In this video, I’ve planted 3 containers. One with peas and two with 2 varieties of beets. I’ve not had much success with the beets, but am going to give it another go for a winter grow.

A little about my setup. I have a hydroponic greenhouse. I grow in a system I call FAWN which is a modified hydroponic drip system. The media I grow in is aged rice hulls with parboiled rice hulls mixed. This has proven to be a great mix for me. I use Masterblend fertilizer as my nutrients to every plant grown. I’ve been pretty successful with my setup growing hydroponic tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, squash, cucumbers, cabbage, cauliflower, lettuce, turnip greens, corn, potatoes, kale, carrots, beets, spinach, onions, leeks, and even okra! Everything a gardener would desire. I also dabble in other areas like growing in raised beds, growing in a ground garden, grafting, pond activities, growing fruits, and other projects on the homestead.

This is what the greenhouse is doing for the beginning of July. It’s getting pretty hot and staying hot and it’s the worst time growing for me. It’s also hard to stay outside for any length of time. All said, I got some great things happening still with some fantastic breeding projects growing.

I'm green with envy! I want to start my plants so bad, but I have to wait on my daughter. My car needs repair and I can't stand having someone drive me around. I would purchase online but some things I have to be there for anyway, so I'm waiting. and waiting, and….. you get the picture. I'm too old for this! LOL I'm used to getting in my car and doing what I want, and when the car is fixed, I'm going to go out driving every day, even if it's to just get my mail at the end of our long driveway. Geesh……….. I love seeing what your doing, but this old lady is ready to plant, and I'm jealous!!!! Love the video. Bless, Sheila
Nice note at the end.
Sure makes me wish I had a heated greenhouse….oh well, I'll just have to wait for spring.
Cool setup on the peas, Brent! Should work out nicely!
Thanks for sharing Brent. I use the same creamer 😉 Best wishes Bob.
Enjoyed the video. Before I comment too much, I need to go back and watch more of your older videos. I'm sure you've explained your system and methods previously. After that, I may have some questions. (I enjoyed your note at the end of the video)
Yep, it's getting hot here too. You still have some great looking stuff growing. I always get jealous seeing the squash and tomatoes.
Great update Brent. It is a shame about the damage to the car port. Best wishes Bob.
Wow! Great update. Very interesting breading of squash. Thanks for sharing Brent.
That's a lot of good stuff Brent. Your doing real well.
