This humus isn’t for pita bread! This mom created a “Green Roof” with bits of gravel and hummus to enhance her eco-friendly apartment. Learn to plant your roof and check out an ideal borough landscape.
Urban Gardener is a video series that proves that the size of your farm doesn’t impact the size of the tomatoes you can grow on it! In this series, host Denton Tarver (ViewPointsDesign.com) visits some urban gardeners who have turned their tiny backyards, rooftops and windowsills into flourishing gardens.

Really good video! But watch out! Every square metre of plants can be up to 10Kg extra weight after rainfall! Make sure you speak with the buildings owner before you attempt this at home. Pun intended :)
Nice!
It actually says hummus 🙂 nice
Hey,… we'll find out for you!
stay tuned 🙂
I would prefer a roof that's uniformly green and not in patches of green.
I would think you could make the layer just a little thicker and grow ground cover strawberries and other shallow root fruit bearing plants…pick up one of those quick shelters and use clear poly plastic instead of the normal tarp and you got a makeshift greenhouse thats extremely lightweight on the roof…just in case the fruiting plants need additional warmth/shelter than the roof can provide while their roots are taking hold…Just a thought.
Erm, it's spelled humus. I clicked on the video expecting a chick pea/garlic/herb garden for making hummus: the middle eastern dip.
How do we make this roof? SpacesTV, please show us how!
That's nice!
very good
I would love to do this to my rooftop in Brooklyn. Anyone know where I can find easy to follow info?
