do you have a sprinkler system to water the garden or do you just hand water?

Supermarkets have a spray in the veggie section that mists the vegetable with cold water.

To have vegetables that keep fresh the longest, have you tried picking them first thing in the morning? it's about moisture content being at its peak in the early hours of the day.

Gorgeous carrots! It's interesting to hear when you get frost because I live halfway in between Arnprior and Ottawa. We still haven't gotten frost yet and I hope we don't for a while because I'm waiting on some huge green tomatoes to start turning red.
