Can you feed plants in hydroponics with regular all-purpose liquid mineral soil nutrients you can find at a big box store? Conversely, can you use hydroponic nutrients with soil or soil-based potting mixes? What about soil fertilizers with soilless potting mixes? All explained here.

The Tech at Hanna said not to put the probe in deeper than 3.5 inches !
Hey There! I love the videos and they help me so much. I was wondering if I could have your help on a problem of mine. I have had my hydroponic peppers going for about five months and they have been flowering for about a month now. The only problem is that all the flowers are continually falling off on most the plants and I have no clue why. If you have any suggestions as to what may be the problem, that would help a lot. Thanks so much!
Some basic info:
-I have a 5 ft by 10 ft grow tent that is lighted with a 600 watt, Yield Lab hps light and one t5 seed starter light
-The lights are on a 16 hour on, 8 hour off cycle
-I use the Flora Duo A and B series
-The Temperature in the tent is kept to 69.4 degrees Fahrenheit
-The water in the 15 gallon reservoir has a 1:1.5 mL A:B per gallon nutrient ratio
– There are three watering cycles per day for 30 minutes each and each time the water is oxygenated by two air stones.
You have the best videos I've seen so far. I've been watching you since "my beginning".Thank you for all your hard work.
Hi Everest
Your videos are very cool and informative.
I'm a newbie and I am wondering
if it's possible to use mineral soil fertilizer and cover the trace elements deficiency in hydro by adding it till it reaches the optimum range of PH and EC?
Is that even possible?
Love the information you share.
everest, coir is not pronounced "coyer" it sounds the french word avoir… just saying, nice vid tho
Just subbed. Nicely done videos
How often do you change/add nutrient?
Also it is probably high level of urea nitrogen in soil nutrients that cause ph growth in hydroponics
best info you can get right here people! great man full of GOOD info and great tipps! highly recomend you watch all of his videos!!!
awesome vids. what is your opinion on a better brand for nutrients Fox Farm or GH ?
These videos are the best !!
Superb video! Answered my questions!
When growing hydroponically, do you really get all the same nutrients that plants take from soil? I follow some cannabis growers and the experienced ones always talk about mycorrhiza and "alive" soils being optimal.
Good info but I have to say the descriptions are too fast. I have to pause and re-watch parts just to make sure I catch what you're saying. There's not much time to think in between what is being said. Otherwise, good video.
thanks everest good info
Interesting and easy to understand. Useful stuff.
Everest great video, I think the timing of this clip is good, most new growers are thinking about what soil-less potting mix to buy, and also what nutrients to buy at this time of year, the cheap fertilizers leave chemical residues in your produce. People should know that the fertilizers that you buy at home depot and the others is like eating poison!
Great video! Yeah that ammonia based nitrogen does not do well in hydro. Found that out myself lololol
Everest, I have a question for you. What is the best way to deliver hydroponic fertilizer to a soil based grow? I am planning on having my raised bed filled with tomatoes this year, and a slew of 5 gallon buckets containing my peppers. Could you point me in the right direction for delivering a measured amount of nutrients to my plants?
Always waiting on your video's your knowledge is top drawer keep them coming. I've been watching some video's with Harley Smith about the RAW brand nutrients what do you think about them cause I'll be changing from soil to hydroponics soon and I'll be looking for the closest thing to organic nutrients can you gave me any ideas.
