Bibi… some considerations: 1) Dont use PVC glue on your end caps as it's pretty much perm..and when it comes time to clean out your tubes.. that will be a real bear. Rather consider using a good bead of FLEX SHOT – it works great and you can easily peel it way when it's time. 2) Drill your plant site holes first (before you put the end caps on ). You really should rinse your pipes out pretty good before you assemble and fill with nutrient fluid and plants. 3) You can use a 1" hole saw and use the 7/8" – they are about 1 1/3" long -Net cups ( I found them on Ebay 100 – $10.00 .. I think they are about 35mm diameter across the top. Unless your seedlings have well developed (long) root system you can easily use a wicking material to make up the different between your fluid level and the bottom of your Rockwool, to keep thinks moist. VIVA towels make the best wicking material – it does not fall apart or rot. Stager their position in two rows end to end and wow.. you can a whole lotta plants on that pipe! TIP: If you can find the 7/8" netcups.. you can easily fabricate netcups from styrofoam
