Hey I'm using the same seeds (excerpt I don't have a clue what I'm doing!)
Instead of the coir and clay pellets you can use polyester quilt batting. I use the same hydroponic solution that you are but just fill the containers with the full strength solution. That is how it was formulated to be used. Like your video. You explain things very well.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It inspired me to share with all 40 members from our community garden. We all know how to grow in soil but we are all intimidated with hydroponics. This method is making us feel less afraid to try new methods. Thank you!
growing hydroponically, do you need to pay attention to USDA gardening zones? or does that only apply when growing outside?
Hi what brand of coco coir did you use?
Thank you so much for this instructional video. I’m thinking of giving these to each member of our community garden so they may learn about hydroponics. I have two questions: can plants like lettuce be grown with natural light… let’s say on a window sill (to avoid the cost of artificial light)?. And is it necessary to paint the jars black? Thank you again for this innovative system.
This is the best way. People over complicate this stuff. Your light looks a bit weak though. I use two cheap shop lights and they're almost blinding.
Seeds till germination have to be given warmth n kept away from light, in darkness.. right ? Darkness ok but warmth how ?
Wonder if the pebbles will wick up the water to cocopeat to seed and u dont have to monitor
A real good video for sure
As u said different seeds have different germination time (lettuce earliest…) and bcoz u need to shift them from darkness to light on germination (lest they become tall/ leggy), u will then shuffle the 4 sets of bottles according to their germination pace.. right ?
Excellant video. I am getting ready to try this. Thank you
when you give the gram amounts for the fertilizer, is that mixed in one gallon of water? thx
Kip? Is that you? Can you bring my Chapstick? My lips hurt real bad!
For the soil is that just dirt and if is it mixed with fertilizer mix I ask because I've never clone my own food or plant anything in my life so I'm wondering because I'm not trying to sound like an idiot but I'm new to this whole thing I want to do this as cheaply as possible

How would you grow carrots, potatoes, and red onions?
I really love Aerogardens, this one works really good! I'm running out of room for them now. I enjoy fresh herbs for cooking. My garden is growing like a weed. Easy to operate. Love it>>>t.co/p1Kywf0nb1 .
you're concerned about using plastic and yet your net pots are plastic. LOL
Yes, glass is good, but you're using plastic net cups. So does it really matter?
