I applaud your resourcefulness, but are you sure those pallets are safe? Most commercial pallets are chemically treated with all sorts of nasty stuff to help ensure longevity against the weather. You really don't want to be growing food in those.

I would double the number of pockets… Intensive gardening, and will give more shade & protection… But I LOVE the simplicity!!!

You can get big plastic containers that they transport orange juice in and rig one up to water things like that.
