In this video, I’m going to show you how to make a mini Kratky system for growing lettuce. I logged the entire progress which took about 5 weeks. Depending on which variety of lettuce you’re growing, it may take more or less time. Below is the nutrient mix I used in this video. I got the seeds from Jim Conner. He grew the same lettuce recently and it was much more massive. Please see link to his video below. Jim Conner: My Indoor Setup: Hydroponic Nutrients(Masterblend): 1 Gallon of water, pH is between 5.9 – 6.5 3 Grams of Masterblend 4-18-38 3 Grams Calcium Nitrate 2 Gram of Epsom Salt Video Rating: / 5 Related PostsHydroponic Lettuce – Pablo – Kratky Method – Nutrient ConcentrationsTom’s Thumb Lettuce Indoor Kratky Hydroponic Gardening With LED Grow Lights (1/3)Tom’s Thumb Lettuce Indoor Kratky Hydroponic Gardening With LED Grow Lights (3/3)Growing Vegetables indoor – Hydroponic LettuceHydroponic Update ~ Dutch Bucket Tomatoes and Kratky LettuceEasy DIY Beginner Hydroponic Kratky System

This looks lovely! čÖé How come there's enough oxygen in water for the whole process ? A lot of hydroponic setups (just like this one) include air pump to oxygenate water and I'm wondering how come this one doesn't need air pump ?´╗┐

when you prune is it enough to just cut the other plant stem? or do you have to actually pull the entire root stem out of the rockwool? also, when at the seedling stage, do you have to spray the rockwool with water in the first 2 weeks, or should the dome/ziploc bag keep the moisture?´╗┐

hi, how about your nutrient mix? i heard among some youtube videos that there is constantly need to check the content of the mix because overtime the water evaporates and the nutrient mix becomes more saturated and that way it can damage plants. is this true? how is your experience about this? again my question to greenhouse is this type of hydro system (without pump) ok to use in a greenhouse (i live in mid Europe but the temperature can raise in greenhouse to 40-50 ┬░C (100-120┬░F) during hottest days. many thanks for your answer´╗┐

Do you use your regular water formula when watering seeds to start? I saw on one video that nutrients can burn the seed.´╗┐
