Okay, this was insane. My mind was totally blown on this tour of the Plants by Post nursery up in San Jose, CA. They grow over 80 million plants per year: cyclamen, vinca, geraniums, herbs, flowers, you name it – they grow it.
In this plant tour, I take you from START to FINISH, all the way from seed starting to the loading dock where orders go out. You’ll see incredible seed starting, transplanting, and pot-making machines.

You mentioned that the pest resistance of geraniums makes it a good candidate for the border of an edible garden, I imagine we are talking about the big bright geraniums not the native ones that are hardy and smaller flowers?

Super cool behind the scenes tour and great editing showing everything in a step-by-step progression. Could watch these types of videos all day. I was fascinated by the process and wondered why I'd never thought about how the plants made it to markets to fill the demand. I was also, in my mind, comparing how my grandmother used to keep her garden and orchard flourishing with just her hands and native wisdom. As a new gardener, I love your channel. Thanks for this tour.

But, I am really concerned at the use of peat. Peat is so damaging to the environment. I can't believe we are destroying the natural homes of plants to have plants indoors.
