¿Se agrega esto directamente a las raíces en el sistema dwc? y con los nutrientes?
Will this work if I am using Masterblend Tomato formula? Chelating issue? What is the calcium hypochlorite concentration in my tank if I am using another brand with a different concentration?
Great video, I think bleach (thin non- scented, just) is sodium hypochlorite, would that work just as well? I know that it works in keeping dwc cloning bucket/clones/roots sterile and does no harm to plants at 0.5 ppm. Also would calcium hypochlorite react or give of any gas whilst mixed with nutrients and ph up or down? ALSO NEVER USE ANY BLEACH WITH HYDROGEN PEROXIDE IN YOUR HYDRO SYSTEM, DO NOT EVER MIX THESE TWO THINGS.
If you want to use 1 ounce per 5 gallons like the EZClone Clear Rez, you can dilute 1 gram of granular calcium hypochlorite to 1 gallon of water.
Thank you! Pity I already threw out my ailing plants; I'm using calcium hypochlorite to disinfect my system and had been wondering if it would have been possible to treat my plants without the stuff without killing them. Guess I'm not crazy after all, haha. Just been a while since I did any "would this kill my plants" testing xD
hold on. you treat your plants with calcium hypochlorite? or is this a preventative measure?
Thanks for the recipe tuca. I've been using it for the last month in my aeroponic setup. My rez is using a chiller at 65. My room is 78. My roots still seem brown and sad. No organics.straight mineral food. Any suggestions? I'm using 28g/ per gallon concentrate per recipe. 1ml per gallon every four days. Also do you recommend I add more to try and correct my current roots
hi thanks for video (subbed and liked) my sodium hypochlorite says itscontains 125grams per liter. so how much of this would i use per liter of reservoir water? thanks.
Hey TUCA hows it going I miss the informative videos you used put out is everything going well bro.. I forgot about this method of sterile Rez but came across some chlorine shock granules I must of picked up a while back and it’s concentrated at 70% calcium hypochlorite I see its around 25% more concentrated than the one you suggest, should I run it at 28 grams per gallon or knock off 25% and run it at 21 grams per gallon what are your thoughts? cheers buddy
well i have never heard of calcium hypochlorite….. ive had root rot since March this year and it is now December and its come back again week 6 flower ;0(….. ive been running Silver Bullet.. at maintenance dose. and need another 3 weeks out of them yet… once you get this its hard to get rid of in the room….. i have no scales to weight it.. if i do buy the calcium hypochlorite…
Having had a live res end in pythium rot last grow (temps) I decided to try the sterile route using this method this go around. I'm week 5 flowering and my girls look amazing! The root balls are brilliant white & profuse. What, then, is the source of all of the hysteria on the growing forums regarding chlorine in tap water ("let the tap water sit overnight to evaporate chlorine")? I understand if you are going the bennies route you do not want chlorine but they seem to think chlorine in anything but trace amounts is toxic to the plant. I can now say from experience this not the case. My plants have never looked healthier & I sleep well at night knowing my babies are safe from rot.
are these solutions relevant for aquaponics? the pool shock method would be wonderful if i was sure it wasnt going to harm my fish..?
calcium hypochlorite is 2.35 g/ml so 28 g = 12ml or about 2.5 tsp
can you run down the equation and show the resulting ppm's please? I have just been adding approx 0.05 g per gal but I like the idea of mixing up a gal of strong chlorine to add liquid to res changes rather than adding minute and therefore error prone dry quantities to small res's
T.U.C.A !! What's up man I've seen you around for a while join the dank den a long time ago but haven't been on in a long time. Just getting back into TWC have a small for bucket with controller nothing electronic all gravity fed using UC roots and ionic nutrients. But after about four days of mixing a batch I get a light smell. My question is do I need to change all the water out of this reservoir that is smelling a little. Or just add in your mixture every fourth day and it will correct and clean that up?
Quick question. Would you recommend a higher does of pythium is present? Also, how about every 2 days instead of every 4 days if root rot is present? Do you think that a 2 day add back would be too much?
Mby this one is good aswell – just
Calcium chloride
is this ok aswell ?

Thank you!
Thanks for the good advice. I've been struggling for years with pythium. I've used beneficials but they can backfire and cause their own problems. Who knew the solution could be both easy and cheap? I've come to the conclusion that DWC and organics just don't belong together.
I commented on one of your other videos today whether you run a sterile or live res. I think i got the answer to that question lol although i do have one more. I noticed one of the comments you said you dont run organic nutes. If you dont mind me asking what time of nutes are you running. I would like to follow your method as it seems to be magic haha.
