Nice movie. However you can make it yourself. Just google woodprix and learn how to do it easily.

My Daughter just finished building a 6'x8' B&Q shed with myself and my Son labouring for her. I can only say it was an experience that we never thought we'd get through! It's finished but we had to improve on it with better quality felt. bitumen, more reinforcement for the flimsy floor, more pieces of fascia for the side and lots of wood filler and draught excluding type stuff!

  • Fek The First 4 years ago

Yep, bitumen and an electric staple gun. Price of piss. My shed has had the same roof for 15 years, no hassle.

Woah! Health and safety nightmare – one foot on a step ladder and no hands?

  • Tangle Foot 4 years ago

I always recommend sticking the roof felt down with bitumen under the whole sheet to stop any wind getting underneath.  Loads of sheds get damaged every winter where I live in the North East, by wind ripping the felt off the nails.

Shit looking shed, like something off the set of Hollyoaks. Brave man to get up a ladder with that thing wobbling about!

What a mess you used a 3B bonding layer to weather it. It wont last long with that a minimum of two layers should be laid.

    It was helpful.. Thanks B&Q.

This would be better with the new GRP fiberglass roof
    Lasts over 50 years
    And no storm damage

Only a single layer? Should be double, shouldn't it?

    I agree wholeheartedly!

This tutorial is excellent but those new to this and doing their bigger garden sheds will struggle to get the right measurment and the right tools. Many thanks

Dear B+Q, try turning on the automatic subtitles. They are very funny, but it's no help if you can't hear. You should subtitle your videos before you post them, to avoid discriminating against deaf and hard of hearing people, especially if they build sheds.

Nice shed, I built my own its massive 18ft x 15ft.PENT ROOF
Can you help with this questions please. My roof leaks badly, its got 2 layers of shed felt from B&Q (green stuff), numerous plastic sheets and an overall tarpaulin (only thin) over the lot and water still gets in!
It pools in certain areas, heres the question, if i rip off all the old roof wood and fully re roof the wood with 18mm thick chipboard slot together sheeting – then paint bitumen all over it will that be water proof? – thanks
