I saw someone use cheesecloth as a way to fractal the light and keep the sun from frying his plants, maybe this could help with pumpkin growing in your climate.

my problem is that i always get male flowers but never female flowers with my pumpkins 🙁 i checked every day until frost killed my pumpkin plant. my squash had 1 female growing and was pollinated, but my grandfather ran it over with a lawn mower
Please be accurate in your meassure and use silver foil counter alge its better and cheaper than paint you box black and much cooler inside
